MEF UniversityPurpose : This study examines the cost-sharing models used by the Anatolian University Libraries Consortium (ANKOS) to determine the amounts that university libraries pay for each consortial subscription. A survey was conducted among library directors and managers of ANKOS member universities to evaluate cost-sharing models in order to create improved models. The data obtained from the questionnaire were analyzed in SPSS, the first time that these cost-sharing models have been assessed on the national level. The results of the study are presented for the benefit of other consortia and scientists/researchers and library professionals working in the field. Design/methodology/approach : This article takes a historical and descriptive approach and uses statistical methods to analyze the results of the survey. It also focuses on obtaining objective results from the Consortium members' feedback. Findings : As with other library consortia all over the world, many different cost-sharing models have been used by ANKOS. As a result of this study, the most suitable models have been determined for different scales of academic libraries. In negotiations with publishers and vendors, priority will be given to price models preferred by member institutions. Practical implications : The material presented should be useful for all academic librarians concerned with consortium systems, cost-sharing, and e-resource management, especially in the developing world. This paper also provides some key points for academic librarians in the process of establishing a consortium. MEF UniversityThe decision regarding the distance education method in Turkey on March 15, 2020, has completely changed the learning and teaching methodology of all university students and educators, and it has been seen that all courses have started to be given with distance education. The purpose of this research is to examine the perspectives of engineering university students towards distance education during the Covid-19 pandemic. The research consists of engineering faculty students studying at various universities in the Aegean region and Russian Federation. In the research, a scanning model was used. The data of the research were collected from 520 engineering department university students from various universities in our country, according to the convenience sampling method, and through an online questionnaire filled out by the students. Thanks to this wide participation, results have been obtained that will explain the Covid-19 process related to distance education in a good way. These people differ fromindividuals of former generations with their unique characteristics.Especially while learning, they exhibit different attitudes, perceptionsand behaviors from individuals of former generations in processes suchas searching, accessing, using, sharing information, etc. Due to thesedifferences, it is inevitable for education and culture institutions todevelop new methods, services and applications intended for digitalnatives. One of these educational institutions is the public libraries.Today, it is essential to take into consideration the changing needs andexpectations of digital natives, who are the most important users of publiclibraries’ services and applications. In this study, with which efficacy ofdigital native-oriented services and policies that public libraries in Turkeyhave developed have been questioned, it has been aimed to determine theperceptions, thoughts and expectations of the librarians, administratorsand clerks working in the public libraries regarding the services andapplications provided to digital natives in the libraries they work. Withinthis framework, a questionnaire has been executed covering 399participants selected randomly from administrators, librarians andclerks working in public libraries in Turkey. The data obtained from the questionnaire have been analyzed on SPSS 24.00. From the data being analyzed, the conclusion drawn is that a great majority of the participants have negative perceptions regarding the services and applications provided to the digital natives.
