Hadi Oynayalım: Okul Öncesi Çocukların Otorite, Kural ve Kural İhlalini Oyun Bağlamında Değerlendirmeleri
(Kastamonu Üniversitesi, 2020) Kılıç, Özge; Özen, Ayşegül; Acar, Melike
Bu çalışmanın amacı Sosyal Alan Kuramını (Turiel, 1983) kullanarak okul öncesi dönemdeki çocukların iki farklı oyun bağlamında otorite, kural ve kural ihlaline yönelik değerlendirme ve gerekçelerini incelemektir. Bu amaçla, 3 farklı sosyoekonomik düzeydeki okul öncesi kurumuna devam etmekte olan 5 yaş grubundan toplam 37 (21 kız, 16 oğlan) çocukla yarı yapılandırılmış klinik görüşmeler yapılmıştır. Çalışmanın sonuçları Sosyal Alan Kuramıyla yapılan diğer çalışmaların bulgularıyla tutarlı olup çocukların ahlaki alanla sosyal-geleneksel alanı farklı değerlendirdiklerini göstermiştir. Ahlaki alan içerisinde tanımladıkları basketbol oyununda rakibi geçmek için vurmak kuralını otoritenin kaldırmasını olumsuz değerlendirmişler ve kuralın yokluğunda bile vurmanın yanlışlığını “başkasına zarar vermeme” ilkesine dayandırarak gerekçelendirmişlerdir. Bulgular Sosyal Alan Kuramı bağlamında erken çocuklukta sosyal gelişim ve oyun ilişkisine değinilerek tartışılmıştır.

The participants of this research consist of 348 female and 319 male students, forming a total of 667 middle school students living in the province of Çanakkale, Turkey as well as in its surrounding areas. The Matson Social Skills Evaluation Scale, the Social-emotional Learning Scale, the Social and Emotional Learning Skills Scale, and personal information form were used to collect data for this research. The Baron and Kenny’s approach and the Sobel test were followed during the examination of the model created in the data analysis process. As a result of this test, it was found that both positive and negative social behaviors exert partial mediation effects over students living in rural and urban areas of the province of Turkey researched.

Erken Çocukluk Gelişimine Dair Türkiye Bulgularına Bakış
(5.Uluslararası Okul Öncesi Eğitim Kongresi Özel Sayısı, 2018) Yavuz, H. Melis; Selçuk, Bilge
Early childhood is a period during which brain development is at its highest and the social and cognitive skills start to develop. In this paper, we summarized our studies in which we investigate the skills that emerge in early childhood years, and the factors associated with the development of these skills in different populations (typically developing children and children with atypical development, typical and atypical rearing contexts). We examine our results in light of the findings of the previous literature. The results of our studies suggest that two skills, namely receptive language and executive function are critical for psychological well-being and optimal development. In this review we compile our findings about the factors influencing the development of these skills, the mechanisms of this influence. We also discuss the applied implications of our findings.
