ETIC is dedicated to the improvement of the living conditions of the people in rural and urban areas in the Euphrates Tigris region, strengthening cooperation and sustainable development in harmony with nature using scientific means, advocacy, research and education. Our team of faculty members and graduate students studied water management issues in two river systems—Euphrates-Tigris (ET) and Rio Grande/Bravo-Conchos (RG). (The Rio Grande is called the Ri´o Bravo in Mexico, hence we often use both names). Occasionally we also refer to the Colorado River because it is managed together with the Rio Grande/Bravo by the same international agency, the International Border and Water Commission (IBWC).
