Article Water Accounting in Social Sciences: Trends, Developments, and Future Research Directions(2025-09-28) Öz, MerveWater accounting is crucial for providing integrated information that supports water governance and management. It provides a foundation for informed decision-making for various stakeholders who rely on water information for different purposes. Water accounting is not new; it has evolved significantly over the past three decades. This study systematically reviews publications in Social Sciences Citation Index (SSCI) journals within the Web of Science database through bibliometric analysis, examining the research trends and developments in water accounting. One hundred-five publications were analyzed, revealing fluctuating yet increasing research activity. The earliest recorded study dates to 2005, with a marked increase in publications after 2012. The Journal of Cleaner Production and The Journal of Sustainability are the leading sources, each contributing nine studies. Australia has emerged as a dominant contributor to water accounting research in social sciences, followed by China. Key trending topics in the field include water footprint, virtual water, consumption, trade, sustainability, and scarcity. Future research should focus on corporate water accounting, virtual water, and consumption patterns of entities and individuals and strengthen interdisciplinary collaboration in water studies. This study aims to enhance academics' awareness and understanding of water accounting in water management, governance, water economics, and environmental accounting.Article A Bibliometric Analysis on The Development of The Second-Hand Market Literature Over the Last 30 Years(2024-10-15) Çizer, Ece Özer; Köse, Şirin GizemHem araştırmacılar hem de uygulayıcılar tarafında, ikinci el ürünlere artan bir ilgi bulunmaktadır. Bu nedenle bu çalışma, konuyla ilgili literatür gelişimine ışık tutmak için literatürdeki ikinci el pazarının gelişimini incelemeyi amaçlamaktadır. Bu doğrultuda literatürde ikinci el pazarı kavramı üzerine geçmişten günümüze yapılan çalışmalar üzerinden bibliyometrik bir analiz yapılmıştır. Çalışma için toplam 235 doküman incelenmiştir. Sonuçlar ikinci el tüketimin yeni bir tüketici davranışı türü olarak ortaya çıktığını ve daha sonra literatürde bir iş modeli olarak incelendiğini ve sürdürülebilirliğin hem akademik hem de uygulama alanlarında artan önemi ile birlikte hatırı sayılır bir tüketim şekli haline geldiğini göstermektedir. İkinci el ürünler stil ve sürdürülebilirlik yönünü daha fazla vurgulayan önemli bir pazar yaratmıştır. İkinci el üzerine yapılan çalışmalarda en sık tekrarlanan terim döngüsel ekonomidir. İkinci el giyim, işbirlikçi tüketim, paylaşım ekonomisi ve yeniden kullanım konularında yapılan çalışmalar son yıllarda artış göstermiştir Sonuçların hem literatüre hem de ikinci el perakendecilerine katkı sağlaması beklenmektedir.Article Sustainable Food Consumption Within the Scope of Green Economy: a Research on Consumer Perspective(2024-05-02) Köse, Şirin GizemSürdürülebilir üretim ve tüketim, her alanda olduğu gibi gıda sektöründe de önemli konulardan biridir. İnsanlığın yaşama devam etmesi için elzem olan gıda sektörü, çevreye etkileri bakımından da mercek altındadır. Bu bağlamda bu çalışmanın amacı sürdürülebilir gıda tüketimini gıda tüketim sisteminin en önemli aktörlerinden biri olan tüketici perspektiflerinden ele almaktır. Bu amaçla derinlemesine görüşme tekniği kullanılarak veriler elde edilmiştir. Araştırma sonuçları, sürdürülebilir gıda tüketiminin önündeki engellerin algılanan pahalılık, bilgi eksikliği, algılanan yeşil yıkama, düşük bulunabilirlik, algılanan çaba ve yaşam koşulları olduğunu, sürdürülebilir gıda tüketiminin itici güçlerinin ise sağlık ve çevre bilinci, subjektif norm, sosyal medya ve gıda ilgilenimi olduğunu göstermektedir.Article Citation - WoS: 2Turkiye's Water Security Policy: Energy, Agriculture, and Transboundary Issues(SETA Foundation, 2022-07-01) Kibaroğlu, AyşegülWater security refers to the availability of adequate quantities and qualities of water for societal needs and resilient ecosystems in the context of current conditions and future global change. Achieving water security is directly linked to food and energy security, protecting and preserving eco systems, and addressing key vulnerabilities and risks from climate change. Good water governance –including transboundary cooperation– is a crit ical feature of any effort to achieve water security. Yet the concept of water security remains abstract and broad. In an attempt to make the concept of water security-relevant in practice, this paper delineates Türkiye’s water se curity policy and practices through institutional and cross-sectoral (energy and food) analysis. Specific attention is paid to Türkiye’s transboundary water security policies.
